Police have Completed Preparations to Host Cardinal Gualtiro Bassetti

7th Dec.2014(Bethlehem )— The Bethlehem police have completed all the preparations to host Cardinal Gualtiro Bassetti, who is scheduled to visit the city of Bethlehem tomorrow at exactly ten o'clock in the morning. In addition, police officers will be present during a ceremony to light the Christmas tree in the Manger Square to be attended by Palestinian prime minister Rami Hamdallah. The Public Relations and Media in Palestinian Police released a statement on the occasion of Cardinal Gualtiro Bassetti visit to the Holy Land and birthplace of Jesus Christ. The statement greeted the citizens of Bethlehem and its visitors on the behalf of Mr. Major General Hazem Atallah the Chief of Police and explained the security procedures to be taken by the police early morning on Saturday 12/6/2014, in order to maintain public order and security, and secure the guest’s parade. The statement added, the plan have implemented to facilitate the movement of the Cardinal, that will visit the city from the northern entrance toward the Nativity Street. The Cardinal will be received by the Governor of Bethlehem Jibreen Al-Bakri, representatives of security system, and representatives of Palestinian National Authority and clerics . The police procedures will extend until the evening in Manger Square until the arrival of the convoy of Dr. Rami Hamdallah Prime Minister for lighting the Christmas tree. Bethlehem Police also made plan to secure the Christmas on 24th December. .
