In it's Annual Report : Police Accomplishes More than 22000 case during 2014.

Ramallah- General Directorate of Police- Assistant chief of PCP for planning and development  Brigadier Gen. Mohammed Abed Sahmoud, announced  today during a press conference in the Palestinian government media center in Ramallah, that the police recorded 25 275 case, in which  22051 case were  completed, which representing 87.2% of the total registered cases.
Police's Public Relations and Media Department reported in a statement that "Brigadier Gen. Sahmoud extended greetings of the chief of police Mr.Hazim Atallah to the audience.
Brigadier Gen.Sahmoud added that the numbers received are a reflection of the efforts that have been achieved on the field by the police, and reflects the successes during an entire year in order to achieve security and safety and give the citizens a decent life quiet and stable and that what couldn't be achieved without loyal police officers who are working in a national spirit and teamwork to achieve their goal toward security and stability in all around the country.

 

For his part  Colonel Dr. Mahmoud Salah al-Din Director of Research and Planning Department reviewed during the press conference that the crimes against persons was the highest in criminal cases according to legal conditioning, which reached (46.9%) of the number of offenses, and the percentage of the achieved cases reached (90.5%).

Colonel Dr. Salahuddin also reviewed  that the killings as a result of family disputes was ranked first among the motives of committing the murders, as a rate of (42.1%), also the women being murdered on the background of the so-called honor crimes reached 16 issue, but according to the tools used  the sharp tools were the highest and over (40%).

Salah Al-Din also showed suicide cases, the police recorded 32 case, 21 are males and 11 females, and the tool most commonly used was hanging, 22 case represented 68.8%, and with regard to motives, mental illness represented the highest percentage with 15 cases, in a rate of 46.9%, and with regard to issues of attempted suicide, it reached 398, 142 are males and 256 females, and the tool most commonly used medication by 80% and the highest rate of the motives are family disputes of 68%.
He also discussed the number of complaints received by the Grievance and human rights department which reached 318 complaints.
Colonel Dr. Salah al-Din, the number of robberies was (3265) is a crime, which was completed (2448) is a crime, a rate of 75%.
Colonel Dr. Salah al-Din, reviewed that the number of theft crimes reached (3265), in which (2448) were accomplished, which represents 75%.
Colonel Dr. Salah Al-din declared that the number of cases received by the police reached (25 275), in which (22051) were accomplished, representing (87.2%) of the total case, and the crime reached (997) case per hundred thousand people.
Regarding to the Traffic department, police recorded (7694) traffic accidents, resulting in (101 deaths), of which (40) inside the cities, and (61) outside the cities, at which Hebron recorded the highest percentage of deaths (32) cases.
He also explained that the number of injuries resulting from accidents reached (7257) injuries, in which (3941) within cities, and (3316) outside the cities, at which   Nablus recorded the highest percentage of injuries (1519). 
Colonel Dr. Salah Al-din noted that traffic police wrote (108002) traffic reports, also (6125) illegal vehicles were destroyed, and seized (6025) vehicle lacked to public safety conditions , in addition to examining(106 673) vehicle.
With regard to drugs, Colonel Dr Salah Al-din said that the Anti-Narcotics department has seized (1008) issue between the possession, use and planting.
He pointed out that the number of judicial warrants have been received by execution sections reached (124426) issue, in which (102 890) issue were accomplished, in addition to (17116) issue were accomplished from previous years.
With regard to Correction and rehabilitation centers, Colonel Dr. Salah al-Din, said that the number of detainees reached (6904), in which 139 are females, while the number of those who sentenced to prison were (5683) people, whom (66) are Females. The Correction and rehabilitation centers until the date (12/31/2014) have a total of (970) people of whom (26) are Females.
He also assures that the crossings and borders police facilitated the travel of (1505317) people through Al-karama crossing back and forth, of whom (764 280) are departures and (741 037) are arrivals.                                
With regard to tourism and antiquities police, Colonel Dr. Salah Al-din said that the total number of tourism activity reached (5094282) tourists by increase of 2% from the previous year, in which Bethlehem recorded the highest, (1,095,434), and the number of foreign tourists reached (1,711,876) tourists, also the guests in hotels reached (1,258,034) , in which (963 131) are foreigners.                    
He explained that the number of cases related to the security of tourism professions reached (2590) case, and the number of cases related to the security of antiquities, it reached (244) case.                                                            
Col. Dr. Salah Al-din noted that the number of training courses for police officers reached (285) courses, (194) are internal courses and (91) Foreign courses, of whom (3318) of police officers participate.                                    

With regard to explosives ordnance disposal , Colonel Dr. Salah Al-din, said that the number of missions carried out by the explosives ordnance disposal reached (993) mission most of it were dealing with mines and shells, grenades, which reached (544), and the destruction of a number of different dangerous objects reached (88).                                        
With regard to the special police forces, Colonel Dr. Salah Al-din showed that these forces carried out (14179) mission, distributed on humanity, security, protecting and escort missions, protect detainees and guarding the headquarters , secure sport games and resolve riots         and  fights.                                                                          

He pointed out that that Guards police carried out (62 416) mission, distributed on humanity, security, protecting and escort missions, also protect detainees and guarding the headquarters , secure sport games and resolve riots         and  fights, In addition to secure (237) institution in all districts.
He also pointed out that the number of activities done by the department of public relations and media reached (25 503) of which (688) were television interviews, and (7119) radio interviews, and (4319) school lectures, and (175) Universities lectures and (2362) social activities.

He explained that the number of cases received by the Family Protection unit have reached (3480) case, while the total number of cases that the juvenile unit dealt with were (2677) issue.
Colonel Dr. Salah al-Din revealed the missions that carried out by the Police Security and disciplinary, which amounted (3563) mission which resulted in the expulsion of 129 member of the police, after a variety of offenses. Also the number of the disciplinary and behavioral cases reached (2602) case. In addition to legal and financial case reached (877), and the cases transferred to military justice against police officers reached (44) case
The Conference was attended by Colonel Waddah Azamtah director of public relations and media department, Lt. Col. Abu Zneid Abu Zneid Director of Traffic Department, Col. Abdullah 'Olaiwi deputy director of the Anti-Narcotics department, and Major Fayyad Hariri from Family Protection unit.
Where the other officers listened to questions from reporters and the audience at the conference, and answered all their questions and their interventions.
