Police, General Prosecutors and the Judiciary Held a Workshop about the Integration Between the Law Enforcement Bodies.

Ramallah - General Directorate of Police - A workshop held today in Ramallah about the integration between law enforcement bodies, the judiciary, public prosecutors and police, and strengthening the mechanisms of the deterrence value of the procedures and judicial decisions in drug crimes

Police's Public Relations and Media Department reported in a statement that" Chief of Higher Judicial Council Ali Muhanna, Dr. Ahmad Barrak, and Brigadier Gen. Abdul- Jabbar Burqan had participated in the workshop, in addition to directors of police directorates , chiefs of the DA, and representatives of EUPOL COPPS.   

During his speech, the judge Ali Muhanna praised the efforts of police, judges and prosecutors in the courts, stressing that the circumstances in which law enforcement bodies work in is difficult circumstances, and doubled the responsibilities upon them, adding that " we all law enforcement bodies to all citizens, so we have to get rid of the culture of disclaiming responsibilities and work in partnership and manage the resources in the best means.

For his part, appealed to Dr. Ahmed Barak appealed to quickly approve the new drugs law and psychotropic substances, pointing to flaws in the current law, also to the challenges that the narcotics enforcements faced in Palestine due to the lack of sovereignty over the land and the practices of the Israeli occupation in the promoting the drugs in the Palestinian territories.

For his part, Brigadier Gen. Abdul-Jabbar Burqan said that the law enforcement bodies cannot be separated, because they complement each and this lead them to success, The police as a basic party works to achieve justice ,control crimes,seizes criminals and bring them to justice under the supervision and control of the prosecution, and it's working to implement the decisions of the judicial power.

Brigadier Gen. Burqan said that police work according to our vision of an ambitious strategy that includes access to a distinct police in a safe state by the complementary relationship, and through diligence  in order to reach a society dominated by security and safety by providing a distinct police services.

He explained that the complementary relationship between the bodies of  Law Enforcement based on cooperation and carrying out the duties will  contribute of enhancing the deterrent values of the judicial decisions in crimes in general and  drugs crimes in particular, which requires us to intensify efforts in research and survey  everywhere on places of drugs and arrested promoters and possessors and communicate with the public prosecutor at all times to meet our requests  that aims to facilitate our work,  such as issuing  warrants .
Brigadier Gen. Burqan appraised the role and efforts of Mr. President Mahmoud Abbas, for his support for the law enforcement bodies in particular, and the justice sector in general to devote the justice system.

The workshop came out to form coordination committees consist of the directorate chief judge, and the DA chief and the director of the police directorate to meet and discuss the issues periodically.

A technical committee has been assigned to prepare a report of recommendations for decision-makers in law enforcement institutions in order to achieve the top of the deterrence value in the narcotics crimes cases.
