Major General Hazim Atallah the Chief of Police Opens the Palestinian Police Forensic Laboratory

Ramallah – General Directorate of Police - Major General Hazem Atallah,the Chief of Palestinian Police  said that the opening of the  Palestinian Police Forensic Laboratory  was a dream finally came true , in waiting for the achievement of the national dream of freedom and independence. This speech came during the opening of the Forensic Laboratory with the Governor General of Canada David Johnston, in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

Police’s Public Relations and Media Department released in its statement that “Major General Hazim Atallah welcomed in his words the Governor General of Canada, and thanked him for the contribution of the Canadian government in supporting the Palestinian Police with logistics and training possibilities, including the Forensic Laboratory in partnership with UNODC. Major .G Atallah affirmed  the importance of the laboratory in achieving justice and continuity towards providing the best service for the police institution and for the justice sector, and thus improving police services provided to citizens.

Governor General of Canada David Johnston in his part expressed his happiness  to contribute to  support the justice sector in Palestine, stressing on support such projects to achieve justice and to fight t crime in all its forms.
The opening included a round in the sections of the Forensic Laboratory, where specialist’s officers gave explanation about the work mechanism of the Lab, and also about the importance of the laboratory in detecting crimes and  the effective contribution in achieving of justice .

The ceremony was attended by the Assistants of the Chief of Police, Directors of specialized departments, managers and representatives from the United Nations Office on Crime and Drugs.
