Jericho- Brigadir Jihad Msaimi stated “The Palestinian woman is considered a very important part in the Palestinian society and we shall give her all the respect she deserves, she is not only half of the community, but she is also considered the mother, sister, daughter and wife.
On behalf of the Major Jeneral Hazim Attallah chief of the Palestinian police, I assure that we will not allow anything to oppress her; she is the heart of the society.
Police’s public relations and media department stated in its report that” the brigadier Msaimi Speech came in the official ceremony of the international woman’s day, which is on the 8th of March, to honor police women working in the PCP, in the presence of the Eupol copps mission, United nations commission for women, assistants of chief of police, directors of police departments and many other institutions.
Brigadier Jihad Masimi declared in his speech at the ceremony that women occupy many leadership positions in the Palestinian police and has the ability to lead, manage and make decisions and serve their people and their country.
Brigadier Masimi honored the participants in the ceremony and presented them gifts in recognition of their efforts and gratitude to them for their continued efforts in various fields of policing.
The event included many events, like police trainings, security checkpoints and tunfa show, while the police music unit plays many national songs in the ceremony.
The ceremony opened its activities with a joint workshop for various departments focused on gender strategies and the integration efforts in the training department, in addition to some European experiences in this field, especially the Irish.
